(Worthy News) – Israel is quietly providing critical military intelligence to Saudi Arabia through American mediation as Riyadh intensifies its campaign against Iran-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen, according to an Israeli defense official cited Thursday by The Jerusalem Post.
Israel’s Military Intelligence Unit 9900, which specializes in visual and geospatial intelligence, is reportedly assisting Saudi military operations targeting Houthi infrastructure and weapons capabilities.
The cooperation represents a significant development in Middle Eastern security relations, bringing Israel and Saudi Arabia into closer strategic alignment despite the absence of formal diplomatic ties.
According to the Israeli official, Saudi airstrikes are steadily degrading Houthi military capabilities while providing Israel with valuable intelligence about the terrorist group’s battlefield tactics and weapons systems, including Iranian-linked technology.
The official emphasized that weakening the Houthis serves Israel’s national security interests, particularly as the Iranian-backed organization continues preparing for future attacks against the Jewish state.
Regional Alliances Shifting as Iranian Threat Grows
The expanding cooperation comes as Sunni Arab governments increasingly recognize the danger posed by Iran’s regional proxy network.
Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces are preparing for a possible coordinated escalation involving the Houthis, Hezbollah, Iranian-backed militias in Iraq, and Iran itself.
Israeli military preparations include enhanced air defenses, maritime security, intelligence capabilities, and closer coordination with American forces stationed in the region.
The emerging Israeli-Saudi security partnership underscores how the growing Iranian threat is reshaping traditional Middle Eastern alliances, potentially creating new opportunities for broader regional cooperation against Tehran.
