(Worthy News) – The Israel Defense Forces struck Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure across southern Lebanon on Sunday after the Iranian-backed group launched an explosive drone toward Israeli troops operating in the security zone.
The IDF said the drone attack caused no injuries. Israeli aircraft responded by hitting several Hezbollah positions, including sites used to launch explosive drones and anti-tank missiles against Israeli forces.
The latest exchange came one day after the IDF struck a Hezbollah weapons storage facility in the Sejoud area of southern Lebanon. According to the military, the facility contained weapons used to target Israeli soldiers and was destroyed to eliminate an immediate threat.
“Any use of force” from Lebanese territory against Israeli civilians or soldiers will receive a “decisive response,” the IDF warned, while saying Israel remains committed to its agreement with Lebanon.
Hezbollah has repeatedly targeted Israeli forces in southern Lebanon in recent weeks. The IDF says the terrorist organization has continued attempts to rebuild its military capabilities despite understandings reached between Israel and Lebanon in June.
