American forces protected more than 2,000 commercial ship transits while maintaining a blockade on Iranian oil exports.

(Worthy News) – U.S. forces have supported the movement of more than 1 billion barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz during the past two months, according to U.S. Central Command.
CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper said American forces provided coordinated protection for more than 2,000 commercial ship transits through the strategically vital waterway. He added that its primary shipping lanes are clear of mines.
The volume of crude oil, liquefied natural gas, and other cargo passing through the strait during the past two weeks was reportedly higher than at any point in the previous six months.
“Clearly, momentum is building,” Cooper said in a video update released Saturday.
At the same time, CENTCOM continues enforcing a naval blockade against vessels traveling to and from Iranian ports. Cooper said Gulf partners have shipped more than 1 billion barrels of crude through Hormuz while Iran has exported “zero barrels” under what he described as an “ironclad blockade.”
Iran’s military disputed CENTCOM’s account, calling the figures false and insisting Tehran retains control of the waterway.
The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most important energy corridors. Keeping it open to lawful commerce while denying revenue to an aggressive Iranian regime represents a significant test of American strength, vigilance, and resolve.
