1,200 Christian Leaders From 123 Nations Gather at Biblical Shiloh to Stand With Israel

by Emmitt Barry, Worthy News Washington D.C. Bureau Chief

(Worthy News) – More than 1,200 Christian pastors and leaders representing 123 nations gathered at ancient Shiloh in Samaria on Friday, October 9, in a remarkable demonstration of Christian solidarity with Israel, declaring that the Jewish people are not alone amid rising global antisemitism and mounting international pressure against the Jewish state.

The gathering, organized by Friends of Zion founder Dr. Mike Evans in cooperation with Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was part of a weeklong Ambassador Summit commemorating the third anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist massacre.

The international delegation visited Shiloh, the ancient biblical site where the Tabernacle stood for centuries before Solomon’s Temple was built in Jerusalem. The location holds profound significance in Jewish and Christian history, appearing throughout the books of Joshua, Judges, and Samuel.

“We brought every nationality, and they all came out to say, ‘We’re with you. You’re not alone,'” Evans told Jewish News Syndicate (JNS).

Evans described the international gathering as part of a growing Christian movement confronting antisemitism and challenging efforts to isolate Israel diplomatically and culturally.

Christian Leaders Urged to Defend Judea and Samaria

Yisrael Ganz, chairman of the Binyamin Regional Council and head of the Yesha Council, urged the visiting pastors to carry their message beyond Israel and advocate for recognition of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank.

“I call on these leaders to bring what they witnessed here to their communities and to Washington, and to urge President Trump to recognize Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria,” Ganz declared.

He encouraged the Christian leaders to pray for Israel, visit the biblical heartland with their congregations, and translate their support into meaningful action.

Israeli Foreign Ministry official Yacov Livne warned that Israel faces another battlefield beyond its military confrontations: an international campaign of misinformation and delegitimization.

“Since Oct. 7, Israel is fighting on seven fronts, but there is an eighth front—a front of lies, modern-day blood libels,” Livne told participants.

Global Prayer Gathering Reaches Millions

The Shiloh gathering followed an October 7 international solidarity event in Jerusalem attended by more than 2,000 Christian and Jewish leaders, diplomats, and community representatives.

Held near the Western Wall, the gathering included released Israeli hostages, Holocaust survivors, wounded Israelis, and families mourning loved ones murdered during the Hamas attacks.

Among those addressing participants was former hostage Bar Kuperstein, who appeared alongside his grandfather, Holocaust survivor Michael Kuperstein.

According to Friends of Zion, its international broadcast reached more than 120 million viewers worldwide, extending the message of Christian solidarity across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. The audience figure was reported by organizers and has not been independently verified.

Fox News reported that the summit also brought together younger Christian influencers, reflecting an effort to strengthen support for Israel among a new generation.

A Biblical Connection That Transcends Politics

The decision to gather at Shiloh carried particular biblical significance.

Joshua 18:1 records that the congregation of Israel assembled at Shiloh and established the Tabernacle there after entering the Promised Land. Generations later, Hannah prayed at Shiloh before the birth of Samuel, who would eventually anoint David as king of Israel.

For many evangelical Christians, the gathering represented more than a political expression of solidarity. It reflected their conviction that God’s covenant promises to Israel remain significant and that the Jewish people’s historical connection to the land cannot be separated from the biblical narrative.

Evans emphasized that the connection between Christians and Israel extends beyond political disagreements, uniting believers around their shared biblical heritage.

The gathering also recalled God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:3: “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee.”

At a time when Israel faces growing hostility internationally, the sight of Christian leaders from 123 nations standing together in the biblical heartland offered a striking reminder that millions of believers around the world continue to identify with Israel and the Jewish people.
